William “Bill” Carney PE, PMP
Director of Industrial Services
Over the course of his 35+ year career in project planning, project scheduling, and project controls, Bill has worked with many industries and types of projects. He has initiated and engineered projects and handled construction project start-up and commissioning. From steel mill and power plant projects, to light and heavy industrial projects, to software development projects, he’s managed plan development and scheduling maintenance. He even managed a total re-building project for Nation.
Bill has also taught extensively: he developed and delivered early courses for DePaul University in what is now called the Project Management Certificate Program. He also teaches PMP review courses for the local PMI chapter.
Bill is experienced in single- and multi-site operations, joint ventures and alliances, and in world-class WBS development. In addition to combat-related risk management, Bill has “years” of (non-combat) experience in:
- Business process development and documentation
- Consensus and team building
- Project Management Office (PMO) best practices and benchmarking
Whether your specific project needs are “around the block” or on the “other side of the world” Bill can step in to help deliver your training, develop project requirements, and maintain your planning and scheduling needs.
MCSI President Jimmy Bratsakis and Bill have been friends close to 25 years.
